Welcome to Lake District Mobility
Whinlatter's Tramper is open for hire, adventures have begun
We have been able to purchase the first two trampers, one for Whinlatter and one for the charity, thanks to Allerdale Borough Council, Lake District National Park, Kings Church Cockermouth and a private donor with a passion for the Lake District, who had used Countryside Mobility in the south of England.
- We help people who have limited mobility access outdoor paths and trails and see the views of the Lake District.
- We do this by leasing all terrain vehicles to outdoor businesses and attractions by giving accessibility advice, helping them to reach a wider audience.
We will make sure that all of our latest information is here first.
Since our launch on 2rd May 2018 our Whinlatter Tramper has been on

Countryside Mobility have been providing a fantastic service in the south of England since 2010.
They enable people to explore the countryside and visitor attractions with ease by hiring 'Trampers' through their membership scheme.
We are working closely with them as we set up our charity here in the Lake District.
Take a look at their video to learn more about the service they are providing.
